【Ingredients】A calcium compound mainly composed of calcium carbonate and calcium hydroxide obtained by high-temperature calcination and conversion of oyster shell. Each contains 50 mg (calculated as calcium). The auxiliary materials are sucrose and citric acid. 
【Description】This product is white or light yellow granules; sweet and sour. 
【Category of Action】This product is a mineral non-prescription drug. 
【Indications】For the prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency, such as osteoporosis, hand and foot twitching, bone dysplasia, rickets and supplementation of calcium in children, pregnant and lactating women, menopausal women, and the elderly. 
【Strength】50 mg per pack according to calcium 
【Usage and Dosage】Oral. 1~2 packs (5~10g) at a time, 3 times a day, with warm water. 
【Adverse Reaction】
1. Hernia, constipation. 
2. Occasionally, milk-alkali syndrome can occur, manifested as hypercalcemia, alkalosis and renal insufficiency. (caused by taking milk and calcium carbonate, or using calcium carbonate alone). 
3. Excessive long-term use can cause an increase in gastric acid secretion rebound, and hypercalcemia can occur. 
【Contraindications】Hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium-containing kidney stones or patients with a history of kidney stones are banned.

【Drug Interactions】
1. This product should not be combined with digitalis drugs.
2. Drinking a large amount of alcoholic and caffeine-containing beverages and a large amount of smoking will inhibit the absorption of calcium. 
3. A large amount of food rich in cellulose can inhibit the absorption of calcium, because calcium and cellulose combine to form a compound that is not easily absorbed. 
4. This product is used together with phenytoin and tetracycline, and the absorption of both is reduced. 
5. Vitamin D, birth control pills, and estrogen can increase the absorption of calcium. 
6. When the aluminum-containing antacid is used together with this product, the absorption of aluminum increases. 
7. When combined with thiazide diuretics, this product is prone to calcium sputum (increased reabsorption of calcium by renal tubules). 
8. When this product is combined with potassium-containing drugs, attention should be paid to the occurrence of arrhythmia. 
9. Drug interactions may occur if used in conjunction with other drugs. Consult your physician or pharmacist for details.
